PAN's 28th Anniversary: Zulhas Asserts Commitment to Working with Prabowo

The General Chairman of PAN, Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), has asserted that PAN will continue to work alongside President Prabowo Subianto and all elements of the nation. Zulhas stated that Indonesia is too large and complex to be developed by a single party or group alone.

He made these remarks during his speech at the 28th anniversary celebrations of PAN at the JCC, Jakarta, on Friday (18/09/2026). According to him, Indonesia requires the spirit of ‘gotong royong’.

“Brothers and sisters. Indonesia is too large to be built by one party. It is too complex to be resolved by one group. Therefore, it requires Indonesia’s unique strength, which is gotong royong, as frequently stated by the President,” said Zulhas.

Zulhas stated that PAN is committed to working with the Prabowo administration. He noted that PAN will also work alongside various elements of society.

“PAN will work with the President. We will work with the Red and White Cabinet—thank you very much for the prayers, Mr Mu’ti (Basic Education Minister Abdul Mu’ti). We will work with local governments. We will work with universities, the academic community, youth, and students. We will work with the TNI-Polri (Military and Police). We will work with community organisations and civil groups. We will work with all the people of Indonesia,” he said.

Zulhas added that PAN is prepared to cooperate with all political parties, despite differing backgrounds. He maintained that differences in party identity must not outweigh the interests of Indonesia.

“PAN will work with all political parties. Even though our colours are different—such as Mr Bahlil (Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia) or Gus Muhaimin (PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar)—because when we speak of Indonesia’s future, blue, green, yellow, red, or white colours must not be greater than the colour of the Red and White (the national flag),” he concluded.
