PANRB Ministry Begins 67th Anniversary with Pilgrimage to Graves of Former Ministers
The Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) commenced its 67th anniversary celebrations with a pilgrimage to the graves of former PANRB ministers at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP) in Jakarta. The pilgrimage was led directly by Minister of PANRB Rini Widyantini and Deputy Minister of PANRB Purwadi Arianto.
Rini stated that the ministry’s anniversary is commemorated every 27 July. This pilgrimage was conducted to remember the predecessors of the PANRB Ministry. Visits were made to the graves of the 18th PANRB Minister Syafruddin, who served from 2018 to 2019, and the 19th PANRB Minister Tjahjo Kumolo, who served from 2019 to 2022.
“This morning we are present at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery not merely to carry out the tradition of scattering flowers. We are here to pay respects to two figures who once led the PANRB Ministry, the late Mr Syafruddin and the late Mr Tjahjo Kumolo, as well as to remember the values of dedication they have bequeathed to this ministry,” Rini Widyantini said in a written statement on Monday (27/7/2026).
During the pilgrimage, Rini expressed the highest appreciation to the families of the late Syafruddin and Tjahjo Kumolo. According to her, every leader leaves a trail. That trail is not only recorded in the policies that were once taken, but also in the values, exemplary conduct, and spirit of dedication that continue to live within the organisation.
“Thank you for the support and sincerity that have been part of their journey of service to the nation and state. May that trail of dedication always serve as inspiration for us to continue the relay of service at the PANRB Ministry,” she said.
Following the pilgrimage, the series of events for the 67th Anniversary of the PANRB Ministry continued with the Kick Off of the Ministry’s Anniversary Commemoration. This activity serves as the opening for the entire series of events celebrating the PANRB Ministry’s anniversary, which will take place from July to August 2026.
