Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Minister of State Apparatus Utilisation and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Rini Widyantini, stated that the government is concerned about new graduates in the upcoming civil servant (CPNS) selection process, which is expected to take place this year.

“Of course, we are very concerned about new graduates and their ability to participate in assisting the bureaucracy,” said Rini at the PANRB Ministry building in Jakarta on Tuesday (24 February).

Meanwhile, she said that the PANRB Ministry is currently preparing to request the number of positions and the required competencies for CPNS from each ministry/agency and local government.

“These competencies must, of course, be aligned with the strategy of each ministry (or agency or local government), as well as the strategy of the President,” she said.

She explained that aligning the competencies of CPNS with the strategy of President Prabowo Subianto is related to the government’s priority programmes.

“This must be prioritised, such as programmes that are national priorities,” she explained.

Therefore, she said that she is not yet able to announce the exact date when the 2026 CPNS selection process, which is expected to offer 160,000 positions, will begin.
