Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Minister of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Rini Widyantini, has assured that public services will continue uninterrupted, despite some civil servants (ASN) participating in reserve component (Komcad) training.

“There are concerns about how public services will be affected. Public services must continue to run smoothly,” said Rini at the PANRB Ministry building in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Rini explained that public services will continue because not all civil servants will be part of the Komcad.

Furthermore, she stated that civil servants who meet the requirements to become Komcad members will not immediately depart the following day.

“Joining the Komcad and leaving the next day? No,” she said.

She explained that the relevant agencies need to prepare civil servants who are likely to meet the requirements to become Komcad members in advance.

“They are prepared, and there is a quota. There is a letter from the Minister of Defence regarding the quota,” she said.

Previously, on 31 January 2026, the Minister of Defence, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, confirmed that 4,000 civil servants from ministries and agencies in Jakarta would be included in the Komcad.

The Minister of Defence said that these civil servants are around 18-35 years old and will participate in various basic military training programmes.

On 10 February 2026, the Deputy Minister of Defence, Donny Ermawan Taufanto, said that the basic training for the 4,000 civil servants would likely be held in April 2026.

Meanwhile, on 11 February 2026, the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (KSAD), General Maruli Simanjuntak, stated that the Indonesian Army is ready to facilitate training for the 4,000 civil servants.
