Panin Sekuritas Shares Plunge After Mu'min Ali Gunawan Resigns
Shares of PT Panin Sekuritas Tbk. (PANS) collapsed to the lower auto-rejection limit on Tuesday, plunging 14.78% or 275 points to 1,585 per share, after the company announced the resignation of its president commissioner, Mu’min Ali Gunawan.
The sell-off occurred during the second trading session following the disclosure that the veteran banker had submitted his resignation letter on 26 June 2026. PANS Director and Corporate Secretary Prama Nugraha confirmed the receipt of the resignation, stating that the departure would become effective upon approval from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and a subsequent resolution at the company’s General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS).
No reason was provided for the resignation of the prominent tycoon, who founded the Panin Group. Mu’min Ali Gunawan, born Lie Mo Ming in Jember on 12 March 1939, began his career in banking in 1966 after moving to Jakarta to join his brother-in-law, Lippo Group founder Mochtar Riady. He is best known as the founder of PT Bank Pan Indonesia Tbk. (PNBN).
