Pangkalpinang Immigration Issues 42 Residence Permits for Foreign Nationals
Pangkalpinang (ANTARA) - The Class I TPI Immigration Office in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, issued 42 residence permit documents for foreign nationals (WNA) visiting and working on Bangka Island in the first quarter of 2026. “In the last three years, the trend in the number of registered and recorded foreign nationals has experienced a decline of around 60 percent,” said the Head of the Pangkalpinang Class I TPI Immigration Office, Ahmad Khumaidi, in Pangkalpinang on Sunday. He stated that during the first quarter of 2026, the number of registered and recorded foreign nationals at the Pangkalpinang Class I TPI Immigration Office was 42 people. In 2025, there were 238 people recorded, in 2024 there were 1,580 people, and in 2023 there were 1,934 people spread across Bangka Island, consisting of one city and four regencies, namely Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Regency, Central Bangka, West Bangka, and South Bangka. Meanwhile, the number of immigration document returns during the first quarter of 2026 was 21 documents, in 2025 there were 19 documents, in 2024 there were 38 documents, and in 2023 there were 77 documents. “For foreign nationals who have completed their stay period, especially limited and permanent residence permits, they must first close their books and then return their immigration documents to the local immigration office,” he said. He stated that the Immigration Office has now opened the Foreign Traffic Module (Molina) service to provide easy, fast, and efficient services for foreign nationals planning to visit the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. “Foreign nationals can access the Molina service through evisa.imigrasi.go.id, which is an online system for applying for e-visas for visits, pre-investments, and e-Visa on Arrival,” he said. According to him, with the Molina service, foreign nationals can easily apply and input their requests, and there are no transactions with officers in paying the BNBP, as it is done directly through the Molina website. “We urge foreign nationals to utilise Molina, as this service is easy, fast, and without requiring a guarantor from anywhere,” he said.
