Pangkalpinang Immigration Deports Pakistani National
Pangkalpinang (ANTARA) - The Class I Immigration Office TPI Pangkalpinang, in Bangka Belitung Islands Province, has deported one Pakistani national with initials FM (44) after it was proven to violate the Immigration Law of the Republic of Indonesia. ‘This Pakistani national is subjected to an immigration administrative action in the form of deportation from Indonesia,’ said the head of the Class I TPI Pangkalpinang Immigration Office, Ahmad Khumaidi, in Pangkalpinang on Friday. He said the implementation of the immigration administrative action (TAK) in the form of deportation of the Pakistani national FM (44) was carried out via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta on Thursday (5 March), because of violations of immigration law within Indonesia. ‘The deportation process for the person concerned was conducted with the escort of immigration officers up to the boarding process and the person boarded a flight to return to his country of origin,’ he said. In follow-up to the findings, a series of checks on immigration data including visa, entry, and residence permits as well as interviews with the person and his guarantor were carried out. ‘The results of the checks show that the person concerned carried out activities not in accordance with his immigration permit,’ he said. He emphasised that the Pangkalpinang Class I TPI Immigration Office will continue to tighten oversight over the presence and activities of foreign nationals in its area of duty to ensure that all foreign nationals’ activities in Indonesia comply with the applicable laws.
