REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - Commander of the III/Siliwangi Military Command, Major General TNI Kosasih, revealed that the existence of Red and White Village/Urban Cooperatives (KDKMP) will be a primary driving force in strengthening national economic and food resilience. These cooperatives are also part of the effort to achieve Indonesia’s Golden Age 2045 vision.

“We at the III/Siliwangi Military Command fully support this Red and White Village/Urban Cooperative program with all our strength and resources,” he said during the launch of 1,061 Red and White Village/Urban Cooperatives in Cilame Village, Ngamprah District, West Bandung Regency, on Saturday (May 16, 2026). The event was led online by President Prabowo Subianto.

He stated that the existence of these cooperatives can increase the economic and food resilience of the Indonesian people. In addition, they serve as an important instrument in strengthening village- and urban-based community economies and opening opportunities to improve public welfare.

“The KDKMP must be maintained and managed professionally, with integrity, and trustworthiness. This cooperative is not just a place of business but also a vehicle for empowering the village community to be more independent, productive, and prosperous,” he said.

The general, known as the ‘Santri General,’ invited all elements of society to work together to ensure the sustainability of this program, in order to achieve national food and energy self-sufficiency.
