Pandeglang Primary School Students Risk Crossing River to Get to School
Every day, students of SD Negeri Padahayu 2 in Cikedal District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten, must risk their safety by crossing the Cipunten Agung River to get to school. The lack of a connecting bridge forces them to take the shortest route, wading through the 26-metre-wide river. This hazardous condition not only endangers the students but has also contributed to a decline in the number of pupils enrolled at the school. When water levels rise due to rain, the journey becomes even more perilous. The school community hopes that the government will soon construct a bridge to provide students with safe access to education.
