Pancasila must guide national development: President Prabowo
Speaking at the Pancasila Building of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Prabowo said the state ideology was born from the shared experiences, culture, and aspirations of Indonesians to live as one nation.
He stressed that Indonesia’s economy must be based on Pancasila, prioritizing the people’s interests and ensuring that national wealth is used to improve public welfare.
This year’s Pancasila Day commemoration carried the theme “Pancasila Unites the Nation, the Foundation of World Peace,” highlighting the importance of translating the values of unity into daily life, including in digital interactions.
The event was attended by senior government officials, cabinet ministers, military and police officers, public figures, and students.
Among those present were fifth president Megawati Soekarnoputri, who currently chairs the supervisory board of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), 10th vice president Jusuf Kalla, 13th vice president Ma’ruf Amin, and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
