Pancasila anchors Indonesia's stability amid global challenges

Banda Aceh - The Aceh Provincial Government has affirmed that Pancasila’s values have kept Indonesia standing firm amid global challenges, and should therefore be a guideline for national life.

‘Pancasila has proven to be a “guiding star” that keeps Indonesia steadfast amid various global challenges,’ said Aceh Provincial Secretary M Nasir in Banda Aceh on Monday.

His statement was made while delivering the message from the Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), Yudian Wahyudi, during the 2026 Pancasila Day commemoration ceremony at the Aceh Governor’s Office in Banda Aceh.

In the message, it was stressed that the Pancasila Day commemoration is not merely an annual ceremony but a moment for reflection to ensure Pancasila’s values remain alive and serve as a guideline for national life.

‘Pancasila is our moral anchor in facing global turbulence, from technological disruption to geopolitical dynamics,’ he said.

He noted that Indonesia, comprising 17,000 islands and hundreds of ethnic groups, has been united under a national bond through Pancasila’s values.

Furthermore, Indonesia has a constitutional duty to contribute to world order based on independence, eternal peace, and social justice, as stipulated in the 1945 Constitution’s preamble.

Therefore, he urged all elements of the nation, especially the youth, to truly adopt Pancasila as a living ideology and consistently apply it in daily life.

‘Let us show the world that Indonesia is a great nation that upholds religiosity, demonstrates strength in unity, and remains solid due to its humanitarian values,’ the message read.
