Panasonic Gobel Workers' Federation Organises Comfortable Homecoming Journey
Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, the Panasonic Gobel Group, together with the Federasi Serikat Pekerja Panasonic Gobel (FSPPG) KSARBUMUSI, is once again organising the Mudik Nyaman 2026 programme, departing 1,426 participants using 25 buses to various regions in Java and Sumatra. The departure of the mudik participants took place on 19 March 2026 at the PT Panasonic Manufacturing Indonesia complex in Pekayon, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta. This programme is also part of the celebrations for 70 Years of the Gobel Group in Indonesia.
The programme aims to provide safe, comfortable, and organised mudik travel facilities for Panasonic Gobel Group employees so they can celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families in their hometowns. The mudik tradition is an important moment for Indonesian society to reunite with family, so the company strives to support the smooth travel of workers through the provision of shared transportation.
The departure of the mudik participants was carried out symbolically by the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia together with Rachmat Gobel as Commissioner of the Panasonic Gobel Group. The presence of the government in this event serves as support for the company’s efforts in presenting a programme that directly benefits workers. This activity also received support from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan as part of a joint commitment to providing protection and social security for employees during their activities, including mudik journeys.
The Mudik Nyaman programme is the result of collaboration between the company and the Federasi Serikat Pekerja Panasonic Gobel Indonesia (FSPPG) KSARBUMUSI, which reflects one form of implementing harmonious Pancasila Industrial Relations in the Panasonic Gobel Group environment, as well as good communication between management and workers. This activity also becomes part of the company’s commitment to supporting employee welfare while maintaining a spirit of togetherness in the workplace.
“The Mudik Nyaman programme is part of our commitment to continue creating a harmonious and humane work environment. We hope that the workers can undertake their mudik journey safely and comfortably so they can celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families in their hometowns,” said Rachmat Gobel.
Since it was first held in 2016, the Mudik Nyaman programme has continued to receive high enthusiasm from employees. In addition to helping mobility ahead of Lebaran, this programme is also expected to reduce the risks of unorganised mudik travel and increase employee safety during the journey. Through the Mudik Nyaman 2026 programme, the Panasonic Gobel Group hopes to continue making positive contributions to worker welfare while supporting Indonesia’s tradition of community togetherness in welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1447 H.
