PAN Prepares 3,000 Free Mudik Quotas to 8 Provinces for Eid al-Fitr

The PAN faction in the House of Representatives (DPR) said its programme to provide free mudik for the public during Eid al-Fitr 2026 is being prepared. The plan envisions a total quota of around 3,000 participants, to be transported by bus or train to eight provinces and 29 regencies/cities, with all costs borne by the PAN faction of the DPR RI. The registration for the mudik programme has been opened via the PAN Faction’s social media, but public enthusiasm has been high and all quotas were filled immediately. The committee is reconvening, hoping for good news that could allow increasing the quota. Additionally, the faction noted it is distributing thousands of sembako today to those working within the DPR environment. They said about 1,100 sembako packages were distributed, along with rendang from the PAN DPR RI faction to the families working in the DPR RI environment. PAN head Zulkifli Hasan has instructed cadres to help the public, especially during Ramadan, including the PANsar Murah programme—nationally operating subsidised sembako redemptions. The instruction is for PAN MPs in the DPR RI to go directly to assist the public during Ramadan. The PANsar Murah programme covers subsidised sembako nationwide from Aceh to Papua and is ongoing, with tens of thousands of sembako packages distributed by PAN MPs across the DPR RI.
