PAN executives leave party

PALEMBANG, South Sumatra: Three executives of the National Mandate Party's (PAN) provincial chapter here have decided to leave the party.

Deputy secretary Sribanun Hafiz, head of youth affairs K. Herman and a member of the executive board Usman Said announced their resignations during a media conference on Wednesday.

Herman told Antara he would concentrate on his business, while Sribanun cited disagreements between the party's missions and her conscience.

Aside from the three prominent cadres, the provincial PAN chapter also lost Ibrahim Pako, who was fired as chief of the party's mayoralty branch on Saturday.
