PAN Agrees PDIP Shares Same Heart as Government: Everything Proceeds Without Obstacles

Saleh Partaonan Daulay, deputy chairman of PAN, has agreed with President Prabowo Subianto’s remarks on the political coalition, which expressed the belief that PDIP’s heart is aligned with the government. He said that, so far, the Prabowo administration has run without obstruction.

He initially noted that all political parties, including PDIP, naturally have their own philosophy and foundational principles. With various narratives and versions of expression, he said, all are ultimately directed towards the interests of the nation and the state, although the ways and mechanisms of realising them are carried out according to each party’s rules and provisions.

“PDIP has been in power before. At that time, all of its policies were directed towards ensuring that development was achieved quickly. All components of the nation were invited to take part,” Saleh said when contacted on Sunday (26/7/2026).

Saleh said PDIP’s approach and outlook are the same as Prabowo’s, namely inviting everyone to join. Even if PDIP remains outside the government, he continued, the administration should encourage PDIP to provide support through suggestions, input, and aspirations.

“Criticism and evaluation do not always stem from hatred or dislike. Sometimes, that is precisely the best way to show affection,” he said.

Furthermore, Saleh concurred with Prabowo’s view that PDIP is of one heart with the government even whilst remaining outside the coalition. He said that everything has so far proceeded without any obstruction.

“Just take the positive view. So far, everything has run without obstruction. Even at the level of political party elites, there are no problems,” he said.

Previously, Prabowo Subianto spoke about the state of the political coalition during his administration, including the stance of PDI Perjuangan. Prabowo said that PDIP actually shares the same heart as him.

“So, my friends, competition is good. Contest is good. Sometimes we part ways, that is not a problem. We will come together again eventually,” Prabowo said in a speech at the 28th anniversary celebration of PKB at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday evening (23/7/2026).

“PDIP’s heart is actually the same as ours, that is true. Try checking, dig into their hearts. It is really the same,” he said.
