Pamulang University Lecturer Reports Social Media Accounts Spreading Sexual Harassment Allegations on Commuter Train
Depok — A lecturer at Pamulang University (Unpam), FHS, has filed a report against social media accounts that spread a video containing accusations that he committed sexual harassment on a KRL Commuter Line train operated by PT Kereta Api Indonesia.
FHS’s legal representative, Dadang, stated that his client also reported the KRL passenger who allegedly became the subject of the harassment allegations, as this individual served as the source of information for other social media accounts disseminating false information.
“We reported those who virally spread the harassment allegations; we attempted to report several accounts,” Dadang said when contacted by Kompas.com on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.
“The Women and Child Protection Unit (PPA) has received the report from FHS. They are filing counter-reports against each other,” said Made, an investigating officer.
The police reports received are currently being processed.
In a video reviewed by Kompas.com, FHS denied the accusations of sexual harassment that allegedly occurred on the KRL Commuter Line service on Saturday, 14 March 2026.
“This viral report has caused tremendous harm to myself and my family—my wife and children. It has tarnished my reputation and credibility,” FHS stated in the video.
In response, FHS filed a police report citing Articles 433 and 434 of Law Number 1 of 2023, which addresses defamation and libel.
“We have taken this action as a form of legal protection for our client, and we fully respect the principle of presumption of innocence,” Dadang said in the video.
According to an Instagram post by the account @jabodetabek24info, the alleged incident occurred whilst the train was travelling between Universitas Pancasila Station and Universitas Indonesia Station.
The post identified the accused as a lecturer at a university in the Tangerang Selatan region.
The alleged incident took place on Saturday, 14 March 2026 evening on a KRL train heading towards Nambo Station. The alleged harassment is said to have occurred as the train approached Universitas Indonesia Station, with both FHS and the alleged victim in the same carriage.
