Pamekasan Police Examine Three Individuals in Alleged Free Nutritious Meal Programme Bribery Case
Pamekasan (ANTARA) - Pamekasan Resort Police, East Java, have examined three individuals in connection with an alleged bribery case involving the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme. The investigation centres on the Regional Coordinator of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for Pamekasan Regency.
“The three individuals we have examined include two from the reporting parties, namely the Alliance of Students and Revolutionary Society (Formaasi) and the Nusantara Fact-Finding Team (TPF-N), and one from the reported party,” said Pamekasan Police Public Relations Head, First Inspector Yoni Evan Pratama, in a press statement on Monday.
The case is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pamekasan Police following a public report alleging bribery and abuse of power by the BGN regional coordinator. The report, filed by community groups Formaasi and TPF-N, details several suspected legal violations.
These include alleged gratification during the coordinator’s tenure, ethical breaches due to holding concurrent positions, the illegal construction of MBG kitchen infrastructure lacking a Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL), and suspected illegal levies in determining coordinate points for MBG kitchen construction.
“We are currently scheduling summonses for all MBG kitchen heads in Pamekasan Regency to complete the investigation,” Evan stated. He also urged the public to remain calm and trust the police to handle the case. “We also plan to re-examine the reported party to complete the investigation file.”
Previously, on 6 June 2026, the reported party, identified as HR, the MBG Regional Coordinator for Pamekasan Regency, visited the Pamekasan Police headquarters and underwent a marathon examination lasting nearly 10 hours in the Criminal Investigation Unit’s interview room. At that time, he denied any involvement in collusion regarding the flow of bribe money for MBG kitchen operational permits, as alleged by the reporting parties.
