PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) and PT Bharinto Ekatama (BEK) have held a social event distributing aid to children, while also strengthening relations with communities around their mining operations. The social activity took place around the Bharinto Ekatama Biyangan (BEKB) District, specifically in Benangin II Village, Teweh Timur District, Central Kalimantan. “This aid activity is carried out routinely every month to all areas near the mine, with the hope that the assistance will benefit orphans within the company’s operational areas,” said PAMA BEKB District Representative Vico Randika in an official statement in Jakarta, Sunday. Vico added that the social event was also part of fostering ties between the two companies and orphans in Benangin I, II, and V Villages. Through this activity, the companies hope to continue maintaining synergy with the surrounding community, as well as creating a safe and harmonious working environment. “And full of blessings, and that the company may be protected with health and safety during work and outside of work,” Vico said. Benangin II Village official representative Rika Ratna Sari expressed her appreciation to both companies for providing aid to the children in Benangin. “As a village representative, I am very grateful that there are companies helping the orphans here. Rika expressed hope that the companies would always maintain good relations with surrounding villages and pay attention to the condition of orphans in their operational areas. In addition to the aid distribution, the event also featured a communal prayer for the safety and smooth operations of PAMA and BEK, especially for all employees working in the field. PAMA is a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), while BEK is a subsidiary of PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG). The event was attended by representatives of PAMA BEKB management and CSR, the Community Development team from BEK, village officials, and orphans from Benangin I, II, and V Villages.
