Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidium of the Cross-Generational Activists Network (LIGA) Pro Jakarta, Syafti Hidayat, assesses that the performance of PT PAM Jaya Perseroda has experienced a significant increase in recent years, particularly in the expansion of service coverage and the strengthening of company performance.

“The performance of PAM Jaya is not only stable but also soaring, especially in the increase of service coverage and the construction of clean water infrastructure in Jakarta,” said Syafti in his statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Ucok, as Syafti Hidayat is known, stated that the transformation carried out by PAM Jaya after the termination of the private partnership is beginning to show tangible results.

Based on data from the company owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, by the end of 2025, PAM Jaya has served around 1.17 million customers with a service coverage reaching 80.24%. This figure is a far improvement compared to 2023, which was still around 65.85%.

“Throughout 2025, there was a recorded addition of more than 200,000 new household connections as part of accelerating the target of universal access to piped water,” said Ucok.

He explained that this growth is also supported by the construction and enhancement of distribution networks as well as the capacity of water treatment installations.

From a financial performance perspective, he continued, PAM Jaya has also shown a positive trend. The increase in the number of customers and the optimisation of operations have driven the company’s revenue growth in 2024, which continued into 2025.

“This condition reflects an improvement in business performance as well as efficiency in company management,” he said.

These achievements become an important foundation in realising the target of 100% piped water services in Jakarta in 2029.

This senior Prodem activist emphasised the importance of maintaining service quality, reducing water loss rates, and ensuring equitable access to clean water for all citizens.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT PAM Jaya, Arief Nasrudin, conveyed that PAM Jaya continues to accelerate efforts to ensure that 100% coverage of piped clean water services in Jakarta can be realised according to the target in 2029.

“These activist friends also serve as strategic partners and critical partners for PAM Jaya. Of course, we are very open to various inputs and constructive criticisms for the progress of the company and to ensure that piped drinking water services in Jakarta can run optimally,” he said.
