PAM Jaya temporarily suspends clean water supply in 45 sub-districts
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PAM Jaya will temporarily suspend the supply of clean water in 45 sub-districts across Jakarta from Friday (5/6) night until early Saturday (6/6) due to electrical maintenance work on a PLN substation.
PAM Jaya Technical Director, Akhmad Santika, explained that the repairs will impact the operations of the Pejompongan I Water Treatment Plant (IPA).
βIt has been agreed that on 5 June 2026, at 23:00 WIB, the maintenance of the PLN substation will commence, requiring a duration of 2 hours,β Santika stated at the PAM Jaya Building, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday.
He explained that the maintenance work will take place from 2nd 23:00 WIB to 01:00 WIB. As a result, approximately 69,333 PAM Jaya customers in the areas of Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and North Jakarta may potentially experience temporary water supply disruptions.
To minimise the impact on customers, PAM Jaya has prepared alternative water supplies from the Pejompongan II and Buaran I Water Treatment Plants, with a total capacity of 1,170 litres per second.
Santika ensured that the company has prepared various measures to ensure that clean water services can return to normal immediately after the work is completed.
