PAM Jaya Regulates Official Residences in the IPA Pejompongan II Area
One of the steps taken is the regulation of official residences in the Water Treatment Installation (IPA) Pejompongan II area, Bendungan Hilir, Central Jakarta (Jakpus).
These assets are legally owned by PAM JAYA based on Building Use Rights Certificate (SHGB) Number 2699/Bendungan Hilir.
These official residences were previously used to support employee operations based on the Occupancy Permit (SIP) from 1980.
Over time, the validity of that permit has expired, necessitating the regulation of these 15 official residences.
The regulation process is carried out gradually and transparently, referring to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Regulation (Pergub) Number 207 of 2016, through stages of guidance, notification, and warnings, followed by the final regulation stage.
“Today we are at the regulation stage where all these steps are carried out by prioritising communication and a good approach to the residents,” said Senior Manager of Corporate & Customer Communication at PAM Jaya, Gatra Vaganza, in a written statement on Wednesday (6/5/2026).
This regulation will be directly led by the Central Jakarta City Government (Pemkot) Administration as well as involving the Police, TNI, Central Jakarta Mayor, Satpol PP, and the Central Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari).
As a form of concern, the Central Jakarta City Government Administration is preparing flats for the 15 residents of the official residences as well as assistance in the form of funds from PAM Jaya to each cooperative resident in the implementation of the regulation.
Furthermore, Gatra emphasised that this arrangement not only focuses on regulatory aspects but also on balanced solutions.
“We are taking this step while still prioritising empathy. We want to ensure the process runs well, while supporting the broader needs of clean water services for the people of Jakarta,” said Gatra.
The regulation of the official residences is carried out considering aspects of security and protection of vital objects, because the location is very close to the IPA Pejompongan II reservoir, whose access must be strictly guarded.
PAM Jaya strives to carry out the entire process transparently, gradually, and responsibly, to support more equitable and sustainable piped drinking water services for Jakarta residents.
