Jakarta — PAM JAYA fully supports the Government of Jakarta Province’s Free Homecoming Programme 2026, providing 15 free buses for Jakarta residents travelling home to Sumatra and Java. This initiative demonstrates PAM JAYA’s commitment to public service and social responsibility.

Governor Pramono Anung symbolically dispatched the first group of homecoming travellers from the National Monument on Tuesday, 17 March 2026. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor Rano Karno, Deputy Chair of the Jakarta Province Parliament Wibi Andrino, Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri, Head of Jakarta Province’s Transportation Agency Syafrin Liputo, PAM JAYA Strategy and Business Director Anugrah Esa, and other provincial government officials.

“This year, the Jakarta Provincial Government’s theme is free homecoming from Jakarta for families. This theme reminds us all that mudik is not merely a journey home, but an opportunity to maintain family ties, strengthen family relationships, and preserve the value of togetherness,” said Pramono in a statement on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

Additionally, Pramono stated that this year’s free homecoming programme is supported by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes of several Jakarta Provincial-Owned Enterprises (BUMDs). PAM JAYA is one of the BUMDs participating in supporting the homecoming scheme.

“I deliberately mention the companies supporting us through this CSR programme as appreciation and in the hope that they will increase their contribution further next year,” he said.

According to data from Jakarta Province’s Transportation Agency, 35,012 passengers participated in the provincial government’s free homecoming and return programme this year, with a total of 744 buses deployed.

Anugrah Esa, PAM JAYA’s Strategy and Business Director, stated that this year marks PAM JAYA’s first participation in the Jakarta Provincial Government’s free homecoming programme. PAM JAYA has prepared 15 buses serving routes to Solo (6 buses), Madiun (2 buses), Palembang (1 bus), Sragen (1 bus), and Wonogiri (5 buses) as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to ensure safe and comfortable travel for homecoming travellers.

“Through this programme, we hope that travellers can make their journey safely and arrive at their destination, and reunite with their families. We are proud to be part of this programme,” said Esa.

Rini Pujiati, a participant from North Jakarta heading to Sragen, Central Java, expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Jakarta Provincial Government and PAM JAYA for providing free buses for her and her family.

“Thank goodness, and my appreciation and thanks to the Governor and PAM JAYA. We can return home for free. As a Jakarta resident, this programme is very helpful to us. I hope this free homecoming activity will continue and be expanded next year,” said Rini.

The synergy between PAM JAYA and the Jakarta Provincial Government in improving public services will continue to be strengthened. This aligns with PAM JAYA’s commitment to making a meaningful contribution as a priority.
