PAM JAYA, together with the DKI Jakarta Family Welfare Movement (TP PKK), has officially concluded its 2026 free mass circumcision programme, held in commemoration of the 499th anniversary of DKI Jakarta. The closing ceremony took place at DKI Jakarta City Hall.

This free mass circumcision programme was initiated by PAM JAYA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm through Daya Wanita PAM JAYA, in collaboration with TP PKK DKI Jakarta and involving the Jakarta Kebaya Community (KKJ). The initiative serves as a form of social care to assist the community while improving the health of Jakarta’s children.

The fourth edition of the mass circumcision event with PAM JAYA was held from 23 June to 8 July 2026, reaching all areas of DKI Jakarta, including East Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, North Jakarta, the Thousand Islands, and Central Jakarta. From an initial target of 2,000 participants aged 5 to 12 years, the programme received an enthusiastic public response, with total registrations reaching 2,445 children.

Based on the implementation across the regions, the number of participants was recorded as 296 in East Jakarta, 488 in West Jakarta, 577 in South Jakarta, 399 in North Jakarta, 43 in the Thousand Islands, and 264 in Central Jakarta.

PAM JAYA President Director Arief Nasrudin stated that this activity is part of the company’s commitment to continuously be present and provide benefits to the community, not only through piped drinking water services but also through social programmes that have a direct impact on society.

“We are grateful that this programme received an extraordinary response from the community. Through this collaboration, we hope the mass circumcision can help the community while providing health benefits for Jakarta’s children. This is part of PAM JAYA’s spirit to continue growing and serving alongside the residents of Jakarta,” Arief said in a written statement on Wednesday (8/7/2026).

On the same occasion, TP PKK DKI Jakarta and PAM JAYA once again received an award from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) for the category “Mass Circumcision Using the Clamp Method with the Most Participants,” with a total of 2,067 children. This achievement surpassed the previous record set by PAM JAYA in 2025, which involved 1,293 participants.

The award serves as a form of appreciation for PAM JAYA’s commitment and consistency in delivering social programmes that reach a broad segment of society. Beyond the record-breaking achievement, the activity is expected to be a tangible manifestation of the spirit of collaboration and social care in supporting the health of children as Jakarta’s future generation.

Through the momentum of DKI Jakarta’s 499th anniversary, PAM JAYA is committed to continuously presenting various programmes that benefit the community and support the realisation of Jakarta as an inclusive, healthy, and sustainable global city.

The event was also attended by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Chairwoman of TP PKK DKI Jakarta Hani Habibie, Chairwoman of the DKI Jakarta Women’s Organisations Cooperation Agency (BKOW) Dewi Rano Karno, Chairwoman of DKI Jakarta Dharma Wanita Lisniawati, Chairwoman of Daya Wanita PAM JAYA Lya Arief, along with officials and participants.
