PAM Jaya Issues Warning Letter to Partner Over Deaths of Three Workers at TMII Project
PT PAM Jaya (Perseroda) has demanded its partner, PT M, take responsibility for the incident that killed three subcontractor workers during a clean water distribution network construction project in front of Gate III of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Thursday (9/7). “We are deeply saddened and express our utmost empathy for the fatalities that occurred during the construction work,” said PAM Jaya’s President Commissioner, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, in an official statement on Saturday (11/7). He stressed that PAM Jaya has asked PT M and related parties to conduct a comprehensive investigation to uncover the cause of the incident. Additionally, the company has instructed PT M to take full responsibility for all resulting impacts. “We have asked PT M to take full responsibility and resolve this properly in accordance with humanitarian principles and the law,” he stated. According to him, PAM Jaya will not stop at the results of the investigation conducted by PT M. The regional-owned enterprise will take firm action in accordance with the provisions of the cooperation agreement agreed upon by both parties. As a follow-up, PAM Jaya will issue a warning letter (SP) to PT M to ensure similar incidents do not recur in future project implementation. “PAM Jaya will issue a warning letter to PT Moya Indonesia, with the hope that similar incidents will not happen again,” he asserted.
