PAM JAYA Enlists Persija Players to Promote Tumbler Warriors Campaign at CSW Bus Stop
Following Pelita Jaya’s previous distribution of tumblers to residents at the Bundaran Senayan TransJakarta bus stop on Monday (9 March), football club Persija has now joined in promoting the Tumbler Warriors campaign.
In partnership with PAM JAYA, Persija is encouraging Jakarta residents to make carrying a tumbler a daily habit as part of efforts to reduce single-use plastic bottle consumption.
PAM JAYA Chief Executive Arief Nasrudin stated that the Tumbler Warriors campaign is an invitation for Jakarta residents to become “tumbler warriors”. He believes this initiative is necessary to help residents reduce drinking water bottle waste.
“PAM JAYA initiated the Tumbler Warriors campaign as a demonstration of environmental conservation commitment. After collaborating with Pelita Jaya yesterday, we are now partnering with Persija to participate in this campaign by distributing tumblers to the public. Pelita Jaya and Persija are icons of young Jakarta whom we hope can amplify this campaign,” said Arief in a statement on Thursday (12 March 2026).
According to Arief, carrying a tumbler must become a new culture for Jakarta residents. He argued that in addition to mobile phones, which are rarely left behind, tumblers should also be an item consistently carried everywhere.
Particularly now, residents can easily refill free drinking water through PAM JAYA Water Purifier facilities available at several TransJakarta bus stops, such as CSW Bus Stop and Bundaran Senayan Bus Stop. With such facilities, residents no longer need to purchase packaged drinking water when thirsty.
“This is certainly more economical and healthier. Young people need to participate in this campaign. We must collectively ensure Jakarta develops better,” he added.
Persija player Cyrus Margono praised the Tumbler Warriors campaign as a good, creative, and innovative initiative.
As a young person, he said he has made a habit of carrying a tumbler in all his activities, whether during training or football matches.
“This is a very important campaign. Through something simple like carrying a tumbler everywhere, we have taken part in preserving the Earth. Carrying a tumbler is cool,” concluded Cyrus.
Football, basketball, and clean water availability are regarded as having important contributions to Jakarta’s future. For this reason, synergy between PAM JAYA, Persija, Pelita Jaya, and various community elements will continue to be strengthened going forward.
