PAM Jaya Distributes Free Water Tanks to Koja Residents to Ensure Water Availability

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PAM Jaya is collaborating with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Family Welfare Empowerment Movement (PKK) team to distribute hundreds of free water tanks to residents of the UKA Complex, RT 16 RW 08, Tugu Utara Ward, Koja Subdistrict, to maintain the availability of clean water.

“Koja’s pressure is still at 0.3, and the pipe network in several locations still needs repairs,” said PAM Jaya’s President Director Arief Nasrudin in Jakarta on Monday.

He stated that the free water tank distribution is being carried out alongside infrastructure improvement processes.

“We are providing tanks to ensure that the community’s water needs remain met,” Arief said.

Currently, he added, 320 tanks have been distributed in North Jakarta, and a total of 620 including West Jakarta.

“We will also increase the allocation from the original 2,000 to 3,000 tanks to further assist the community,” Arief stated.

The tank distribution is targeted to be completed by June 2026, with phased weekly deliveries.

Arief reminded residents to keep the tanks clean and use them properly.

According to him, the tanks can help residents store water reserves during high usage or temporary supply disruptions.

“The average 300-litre capacity tanks are provided as a clean water storage solution for PAM Jaya customers in areas with low water pressure,” Arief said.

Meanwhile, resident of RT 16 RW 08, Tugu Utara Ward, Purwati, admitted to having used PAM water for a long time but had not owned a tank because they are quite expensive.

“If there’s suddenly a water outage, now we have a reserve,” Purwati explained.
