Palyja's water supply still down
JAKARTA: PT Palyja's clean water supply will remain below normal levels for several more days because of a decrease in raw water supplies for its Pejompongan Water Treatment Plant.
A release from the water company on Thursday said the significant drop was due to the closure of a gate on the West Tarum Canal by nearby residents who use the canal water for irrigation in Cikarang, West Java.
The drop in the water supply will affect customers in Muara Karang, Muara Angke and Pluit in North Jakarta; Jembatan Tiga, Tanah Pasir, Rawa Bebek, Bandengan Utara/Selatan, Gedong Panjang, Mangga Dua, Glodok, Kali Besar, Mangga Besar, Tambora, Jembatan Lima and Pangeran Jayakarta in West Jakarta; and Menteng, Suharjo and Bukit Duri in Central Jakarta.
Palyja has a call center that can be contacted at (021) 57986555, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.--JP
