Palu shaken by tremors

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Palu was shaken by a series of tremors
yesterday, Antara said. There were no immediate reports of
casualties.

The first quake, measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, was
recorded at around 11.15 a.m, according to the Meteorology and
Geophysics agency in Ujungpandang, South Sulawesi.

There were at least 13 follow-up tremors after the first one,
one of them measuring 5.3 on the scale. The epicenter of the
quake was located 25 kilometers below the sea surface at Tomini
Bay. (emb)
