Palu residents disheartened

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Several Palu residents here expressed disappointment on Friday as they failed to meet presidential candidate Gen. (ret) Wiranto.

"I came here from Parigi, some 150 kilometers north of Palu, to see and shake hands with Wiranto, but he canceled his plan to pray here," said Achmad Munif, 39.

Wiranto was set to join Friday prayers in the Grand Mosque in Palu, but for unknown reasons, he chose to pray in a mosque in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan province. -- JP
