Palu Mayor Hadianto Rasyid Resigns from Hanura Party
The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Hanura Party in Central Sulawesi has confirmed that Palu Mayor Hadianto Rasyid, who also serves as Chairman of the Hanura DPD for Central Sulawesi, has submitted his resignation from the party. “It is true, Mr Hadianto Rasyid has submitted a letter of resignation from the Hanura Party. The letter was addressed directly to the Hanura Central Executive Board (DPP) around 3 or 4 June 2026,” said Deputy Chairman of the Hanura DPD for Central Sulawesi, Frits Sem A. Kandori, when contacted in Palu on Saturday. Frits stressed that the decision was not triggered by internal party issues. According to him, relations between administrators and Hanura cadres in Central Sulawesi remain good. “There are no problems within the party. We are fine and relations among members are very harmonious,” he said. “I respect Mr Hadianto Rasyid’s decision. Thank you for his companionship and contributions so far. However, we regret that this decision was taken when the party is facing a fairly crucial verification stage,” he added. News of Hadianto’s resignation surfaced after the Hanura DPP held a meeting with chairpersons and secretaries of Hanura DPDs and DPCs from regencies and cities on 8 June 2026. Alongside this news, information circulated that Hadianto would join the Gerindra Party. However, to date, this information has not received official confirmation. Chairman of the Gerindra Party DPD for Central Sulawesi, Longki Djanggola, admitted he was unaware of any plans for Hadianto to join his party. “I do not know. There have been no discussions in that direction,” said Longki. He added that Hadianto had also never met with him to discuss the possibility of joining the Gerindra Party.
