Palu (ANTARA) - The Palu Nutrition Fulfilment Service Office (KPPG) states that 45 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in Central Sulawesi have been temporarily suspended because they do not yet meet the standards for Wastewater Treatment Installations (IPAL) and Hygiene Sanitation Certificates (SLHS).

Head of KPPG Palu, Yudhi Riandy, explained that 26 SPPG do not have Wastewater Management Installation certificates, while 11 others do not meet hygiene and sanitation standards.

He emphasised the importance of all SPPG complying with IPAL and SLHS standards to maintain food sterility and prevent negative health impacts on student beneficiaries of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.

“Thus, the temporarily suspended SPPG can resume operations once they meet the requirements stipulated in the suspension letter from the Directorate of Supervision,” he said.

He noted that the suspended SPPG are located in the regencies of Parigi Moutong, Poso, Banggai, Banggai Laut, Buol, Banggai Kepulauan, and the city of Palu.

“We urge all SPPG managers to promptly complete the construction of IPAL and the processing of SLHS, evidenced by photos and improvement documentation, which will then be verified before operations are permitted to resume,” he added.

It is known that there are currently 203 SPPG built and operating in Central Sulawesi.
