Palu gets new newspaper

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Residents here now have an even wider
choice of reading material, as the Tinombala daily became the
15th newspaper to be published here.

The first issue of the daily was launched by Deputy Governor
Kiesman Abdullah at a gathering here on Monday.

In a written statement read by Kiesman, Central Sulawesi
Governor HB Paliudju expressed hoped that the daily will continue
to thrive and prosper as a voice of residents in the area, unlike
other recent dailies which have folded.

"I also hope that the first edition of Tinombala will also not
be its last," the Governor said as quoted by Antara.

"The daily should be as strong as its namesake, Mount
Tinombala," he added.
