Pekanbaru, Riau - Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent palm oil farmers in Riau Province have increased by Rp39.23 per kilogram, or 0.99 percent from the previous period, now reaching Rp4,007.05 per kg.

The Head of Processing and Marketing at the Riau Plantation Office, Defris Hatmaja, stated that this rise occurred in the 9-year age group, representing the highest price. This determination applies for the coming week, from 8-14 April 2026.

“This week’s FFB price increase is influenced by the rise in selling prices of crude palm oil (CPO) and kernel, which impacts the higher FFB prices received by farmers,” Defris said in Pekanbaru, Riau, on Wednesday.

He noted that CPO prices rose by Rp271.48/kg to Rp16,041.67/kg compared to last week.

Meanwhile, kernel prices increased by Rp306.32/kg to Rp15,760.00/kg this week.

Similarly, for plasma partner farmers, the FFB purchase price for the next week also rose by Rp124.79/kg, or 3.16 percent from the previous period, reaching Rp4,075.41/kg.

This week’s CPO selling price increased by Rp507.28 to Rp16,041.67 per kg.

Kernel prices rose by Rp268.07 to Rp15,760.00 per kg.

He stated that in determining FFB prices in Riau Province, they are continuously improving governance to ensure the pricing aligns with regulations and is fair for both partnering parties.

“The improvement in this pricing governance is a serious effort by all stakeholders, supported by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office. This joint commitment will ultimately impact increased farmer income, leading to community welfare,” he added.
