Palm Oil Entrepreneurs Support Single-Door Export, But Require This Support

In an effort to strengthen natural resource governance and support downstream processing, the government, through the Ministry of Trade, has issued three ministerial regulations governing the export of three strategic commodities—coal, crude palm oil (CPO), and ferroalloy—via PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI).

The Chairman of the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI), Eddy Martono, assessed that the single-door export policy through this special state-owned enterprise is intended to address issues of under-invoicing and transfer pricing in the nation’s commodity exports.

GAPKI confirmed its support for the government’s oversight measures on the export of these three strategic Indonesian commodities, making the process more transparent and preventing state losses. GAPKI, along with the Indonesian Mining Association (IMA), the Indonesian Employers’ Association (APINDO), and nickel entrepreneurs, has been invited by the government to discuss this regulation, where the government pledged to accommodate input regarding the needs of business operators.
