Palestinian President Hopes Eid al-Fitr Becomes Momentum for Achieving Independence

Ramallah - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas conveyed Eid al-Fitr 1447 H greetings to the Palestinian people and Muslims around the world, hoping that Palestine will soon achieve its independence.

In a statement addressed to Palestinians both at home and abroad, as well as to Arab and Islamic countries, Abbas expressed hope that this Eid al-Fitr becomes a momentum for achieving freedom for the Palestinian nation.

Furthermore, the realisation of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, he said.

He conveyed hopes that Arab and Islamic nations can achieve their people’s aspirations for progress, prosperity, security, and peace in their countries.

Furthermore, President Abbas hoped that this Eid al-Fitr becomes a momentum for creating stability and security in Arab and Islamic countries.

He affirmed Palestine’s solidarity with the Gulf countries, Jordan, and other nations affected by Iranian attacks, as well as with Lebanon, which is facing brutal Zionist Israeli attacks.

Abbas also expressed his side’s rejection of any attacks or violence that undermine countries’ sovereignty and threaten their security and stability.
