Palestinian Ambassador: Indonesian TNI Soldiers Who Were Martyred Are Also Our Children
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIMAHI – The Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdulfattah Al Sattari, paid condolences at the home of the late Captain Inf Zulmi Aditya Iskandar in Kampung Cikendal, RT 01/04, Kelurahan Cipageran, Kecamatan Cimahi Utara, Kota Cimahi on Thursday (2/4/2026). He stated that Indonesia’s sons and daughters who were martyred while maintaining peace are also the sons and daughters of the Palestinian nation.
“Indonesia’s sons and daughters are our children. The late one, Insha Allah, is a martyr in the sight of Allah SWT; he is a martyr for peace. It is an honour because the late one passed away at the Palestinian border,” said Abdulfattah during his visit.
Based on Republika’s observations, the Palestinian Ambassador arrived around 4:24 PM WIB, accompanied by several officials from the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Indonesia. Approximately 10 Palestinian students studying at the National Defence University (Unhan) were also present. The visit was directly welcomed by the family.
The Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia expressed his condolences directly to the family and gave a memento in the form of a Palestinian scarf to Captain Zulmi’s father, Iskandar Rudi. He conveyed condolences on behalf of the Palestinian nation and people, as well as President Mahmoud Abbas.
“On behalf of the Palestinian Embassy, on behalf of the Palestinian nation, on behalf of the Palestinian people, we are present this afternoon to extend our condolences to the family of the late one because the late one is also part of our family,” said Abdulfattah.
The grief over the loss of Captain Zulmi and two other TNI soldiers, namely Praka Farizal Rhomadhon and Sertu Muhammad Nur Ichwan, is not only the sorrow of the family and the Indonesian nation, but also a loss for the Palestinian nation. Abdulfattah strengthened the family’s hearts by stating that Captain Zulmi is a martyr for peace.
Abdulfattah stated that the Embassy of the State of Palestine strongly condemns the attack on the Indonesian peacekeeping forces’ headquarters.
The responsible party is referred to in the letter as the ‘Israeli occupier’. “The fallen victims are three noble heroes who are the pride of Palestine and all free peoples of the world,” said Abdulfattah.
