Palestinian Ambassador Appreciates Indonesia's Unwavering Support for Palestine
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdalfattah A. K. Alsattari, has expressed his appreciation for the relentless support provided by the Indonesian government and its people towards the struggle of the Palestinian people.
“I would like to thank the entire Indonesian people for their immense and continuous support for the Palestinian people,” said Ambassador Abdalfattah during a commemoration of the 78th Nakba anniversary at the Palestinian Embassy in Jakarta on Monday.
He stated that the Palestinian people do not feel alone because the Indonesian people consistently demonstrate solidarity and support for Palestine. According to him, the President, the government, and the Indonesian people always stand with Palestine amidst the ongoing conflict.
“Indonesia is my second home. In Indonesia, I feel at home with the people and my family here,” he said.
He noted that Zionist Israel would not cease its attacks on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. “Israel will not stop the killings in Gaza and the West Bank; those people… I do not know, perhaps they enjoy our war,” he remarked.
Furthermore, he stated that despite facing daily attacks and casualties in both Gaza and the West Bank, the Palestinian people remain resilient and continue to protect one another. “We are very confident that one day our country, Palestine, will be independent, Insha’Allah. Our children are strong, our women are strong, our people in Gaza and the West Bank are strong; they are capable of protecting themselves,” he added.
