Palembang City Government Invites Civil Servants to Join Red and White Village Cooperatives

Palembang (ANTARA) - The Palembang City Government in South Sumatra is inviting civil servants (ASN) in the area to become members of the Red and White Village Cooperative (KKMP).

Palembang Mayor Ratu Dewa stated in Palembang on Friday that this aims to strengthen community economies at the village level.

She added that this policy is being implemented following the formation of 107 Red and White Village Cooperatives in Palembang City.

“Through ASN participation, we aim to build stronger trust in cooperatives while reinforcing capital and business sustainability at the village level,” she said.

She explained that the Red and White Village Cooperative was established as a vehicle for economic empowerment based on mutual cooperation.

Furthermore, ASN involvement is expected to serve as a real example for the public to join the cooperatives.

With more members, the cooperatives are believed to become engines of inclusive and sustainable local economic growth.

“We are optimistic that with collaboration between ASN and the community, the Red and White Village Cooperative will grow stronger and deliver tangible impacts on improving residents’ welfare at the village level,” she said.
