Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Hutama Karya (Persero) remains committed to supporting the smooth flow of traffic during the 2026 Eid holiday period by operationalising the Palembang-Betung toll road section (Kramasan-Pangkalan Balai). The operation of this section is expected to help ease traffic flow, reduce the potential for vehicle congestion, and provide a safer, more comfortable, and efficient travel alternative for road users, particularly those travelling between Palembang and Banyuasin in both directions.

The Palembang-Betung toll road section will be operationalised from 13 March 2026 to 29 March 2026. The toll will be open daily from 7am to 5pm.

This section is designated exclusively for Class I vehicles (excluding buses) and will operate in both directions. Users are advised to maintain a maximum speed of 50 km/h whilst traversing this functional section to ensure shared safety and security.

Operations will be conducted on a limited basis with intensive supervision, whilst prioritising road user safety. Despite its functional nature, all infrastructure has undergone inspection and safety checks to ensure it is ready for operation and safe for public use. Operating hours may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the police. Additionally, operations are supported by traffic management, supporting signage, and field personnel readiness to ensure the holiday period journey proceeds safely and smoothly.

“In its operations, Hutama Karya continues to maintain active coordination with the Police and relevant agencies to ensure smooth traffic flow and provide a sense of safety and comfort for all road users,” said Acting Executive Vice President (EVP) and Company Secretary of Hutama Karya, Hamdani, in a written statement.

As a measure of support for road user safety and comfort during functional operations, Hutama Karya has deployed toll road service personnel, increased patrol intensity, added signage and safety equipment, and strengthened synergy with various relevant parties. Road users are advised to always comply with traffic signs, speed limits, and instructions from field personnel.

“We urge road users to prepare their journeys well, maintain physical fitness, and prioritise safety. Should road users require assistance or encounter emergencies on the Palembang-Betung toll road, they can contact the Palembang-Betung toll centre call centre at +62 813-9999-6691,” Hamdani concluded.
