Palembang Air Grows Increasingly Thick; Rumah Zakat Distributes 400 Masks to the Public

The worsening air quality in Palembang City has become a significant concern for Rumah Zakat. These conditions pose potential health risks, particularly for members of the public who must continue their outdoor activities.

As a demonstration of care for the community, Rumah Zakat Palembang volunteers distributed free masks on Tuesday (16/9). The action took place at the Simpang 4 Charitas traffic light area, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, 20 Ilir D. I, Ilir Timur I District, Palembang City.

A total of 400 masks were distributed to people in the surrounding area. Beneficiaries included motorcyclists, pedestrians, street vendors, and children present at the intersection.

The mask distribution serves as a simple effort to help the public reduce exposure to unhealthy air while engaging in outdoor activities.

Rumah Zakat volunteers also reminded the public to maintain their health and use masks, especially when they must be active outside the home. The community is also urged to increase vigilance and monitor the air quality in their surrounding environment.

The presence of Rumah Zakat volunteers within the community serves as a form of solidarity regarding the conditions currently faced by the residents of Palembang.

Through this mask distribution, Rumah Zakat hopes that the public will become more aware of air quality conditions and implement self-protection measures when outdoors.
