Paledang Bogor Pedestrian Bridge to Be Demolished Mid-June After Being Declared Unsafe
BOGOR – The Bogor City Government (Pemkot Bogor) will demolish the Paledang pedestrian bridge (JPO) on Captain Muslihat Road by mid-June 2026. KOMPAS.com observed on Sunday (31 May 2026) that the Paledang JPO has been closed and is no longer in use for pedestrians crossing between Mayor Oking Road and Paledang. On the Mayor Oking Road side of the bridge, a yellow banner states that the Paledang JPO has been closed due to severe structural damage as determined by a construction feasibility study from the Directorate General of Road Infrastructure under the Ministry of Public Works, document number BM0503-DO/689 dated 31 July. Commitment Maker Dody Wahyudin explained that the demolition of the Paledang JPO is currently in the tender process according to the Terms of Reference (ToR). ‘The work includes demolishing all non-structural and structural elements of the JPO, transporting demolition materials, and restoring the site post-demolition,’ Dody told KOMPAS.com on Sunday. The work will take approximately 60 calendar days from the issuance of the Work Commencement Order (SPMK). ‘We aim to complete it by mid-June. Although the planned timeline is 60 calendar days, we will expedite the process as it is a main road,’ he added. The Head of Transport at Bogor City’s Transportation Department (Dishub) stated that the main demolition work will be carried out at night. The demolition work will commence around 11 PM to 4 AM WIB, following the last Jakarta-Bogor train passengers. According to Bogor City’s LPSE website, the demolition is funded by the 2026 Regional Budget (APBD) with a budget of Rp 342 million.
