Palace Unconcerned About Raid on Public Works Ministry, Emphasises Openness to Legal Processes
“Yes. Feel free to search. It was last night, right? Okay. And the night before, Minister of Public Works happened to be at my place,” said Teddy at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Friday (10/4/2026).
Teddy revealed President Prabowo Subianto’s directive that if government elements are proven to have committed legal violations, the government remains open to every ongoing legal process.
“So the essence is that we are open to the law, including the President often stating that anyone, if it’s true and proven, should be examined accordingly, both inside and outside. And yesterday, the Ministry of Public Works was raided by the Jakarta Attorney General’s Office,” said Teddy.
Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo previously stated that there were 16 items seized by investigators from the DKI Jakarta Attorney General’s Office during the raid on the Ministry of Public Works office. These items included documents and computers.
“There are 16 items (seized), mostly notebooks, nothing else. No, all mostly notebooks,” said Dody at the Ministry of Public Works office in South Jakarta on Friday (10/4).
Dody mentioned that one computer unit was seized. He said the majority of items were taken from the Directorate General of Cipta Karya building.
“So the bulk of it was indeed taken from Cipta Karya,” he said.
