The State Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia, Prasetyo Hadi, has ensured that the leadership transition at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) will not disrupt the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme. He stated that amidst this leadership transition, the MBG programme will continue to proceed as planned.

“The government once again emphasises that this change in leadership will not interfere with our commitment to executing the free nutritious meal programme managed by the BGN,” said Prasetyo at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He noted that the process must not impact or hinder the BGN’s services to the public. Prasetyo mentioned that every unit within the BGN’s working environment must continue to perform their duties in accordance with their respective responsibilities and functions.

“On this occasion, we also wish to convey that the government will continue to ensure that throughout the ongoing evaluation process, all BGN programmes continue to run as they should,” he added.

Following the leadership reshuffle at the BGN, the Head of the BGN, Dadan Hindayana, along with two deputies, Retired Lieutenant General Lodewyk Pusung and Sonny Sonjaya, have been removed from their positions. Subsequently, Nanik S. Deyang, who previously served as Deputy Head of the BGN, has been promoted to Head of the BGN. Meanwhile, Agustina Arumsari and Major General Trenggono have been appointed as the new Deputy Heads of the BGN.
