Palace Responds to Search of National Nutrition Agency Office Following Dismissal of Dadan and Others

State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has addressed the search of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) headquarters by investigators from the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung). “First and foremost, let us give the law enforcement officials the opportunity to carry out their duties, and then we shall collectively observe and await the results,” Pras stated via a short message on Wednesday (3/6).

Pras noted that this law enforcement action is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to improving governance and management. He reminded all government bodies, ministries, and agencies to remain compliant with applicable norms.

The Attorney General’s Office is currently conducting a search at the BGN Headquarters in Jakarta. The search has been underway since the early hours of Wednesday (3/6) and was still ongoing as of 15:08 WIB.

This search comes shortly after President Prabowo Subianto dismissed the Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana. In addition to Dadan, Prabowo also removed two Deputy Heads of BGN, namely Lodewyk Pusung and Sonny Sonjaya.

When asked whether the dismissals were related to allegations of bribery involving the Nutrition Service Fulfillment Units (SPPG), Pras stated that the matter is currently undergoing an internal audit. “Everything is in the process of an internal audit. This is part of, once again, the continuous monitoring and evaluation that we perform,” Pras said at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (2/6).
