Palace Respects Police Steps in Investigating Three Corruption Cases
Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi has affirmed that the government respects the steps taken by the National Police (Polri) in investigating three corruption and money laundering cases (TPPU).
“We all respect every legal process currently being carried out by law enforcement agencies (APH), in this case the police,” Prasetyo said in a statement on Friday, 10 July 2026.
Prasetyo explained that the government upholds the principle of presumption of innocence in order to avoid unproductive speculation.
“We also uphold the principle of presumption of innocence so that we avoid speculation and unproductive assessments,” he said.
He reminded that from the outset, President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has held a strong commitment to eradicating corruption.
“He has repeatedly reminded all levels of government, particularly state officials, to reform and clean themselves up before law enforcement or clean-up measures are carried out,” Prasetyo concluded.
As previously reported, the joint investigation conducted by the Corruption Crime Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) of the National Police together with the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) into several suspected corruption cases continues to develop.
Where investigators previously revealed searches at Cafe de’CLAN Signature and Koin Money Changer in the Cipete area of South Jakarta, the police have now confirmed that a total of twelve locations were targeted in the searches.
Head of the Public Relations Division of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Grand Commissioner Budi Hermanto, said the searches were carried out at several company offices as well as private homes spread across Jakarta, South Tangerang and Bogor.
“The searches were carried out at twelve locations,” Budi Hermanto said in a statement quoted on Thursday, 9 July 2026.
The locations searched included the offices of PT CBS in East Cengkareng and Penjaringan, the office of PT KNI in Central Jakarta, Cafe de’CLAN Signature and Koin Money Changer in Cipete, several houses in the Mega Kuningan and South Gandaria areas, Pacific Place Apartments, North Serpong, and a house in Sentul, Bogor Regency.
Nevertheless, Budi has yet to detail the results of the searches at all of those locations. According to him, investigators are still carrying out in-depth inquiries and all results will be conveyed once the process is complete.
“Later we will summarise all the searches and provide an update,” he said.
