Palace Receives Candidate Names for Jampidsus, Selection Process Begins

President Prabowo Subianto has received an official letter from the Attorney General’s Office regarding proposed names to fill the definitive position of Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). This was confirmed by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi. “Officially, we can report that as of yesterday, Tuesday the 14th, the Attorney General has formally sent a letter to the President to submit proposed names for the replacement of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, who submitted his resignation some time ago,” Prasetyo said at the Parliament Complex on Wednesday (15/7/2026). Prasetyo explained that the names proposed in the letter are currently being processed by the Final Assessment Team. “Perhaps today we will immediately follow up on what the Attorney General has proposed,” he said. On that occasion, Prasetyo also confirmed several names that have been proposed, including the Head of the Attorney General’s Asset Recovery Agency, Kuntandi, and Deputy Attorney General Asep Nana Mulyana. “Based on the letter, yes,” he said. Prasetyo also explained that the process of filling the Jampidsus position is one of the priorities to be discussed at the Palace. However, the decision on who will fill the position awaits the results from the Final Assessment Team. “We are waiting for the TPA process, God willing, this might be one that needs acceleration compared to other processes,” he said.
