Palace: Plans for Meeting Between President Prabowo, Jokowi, and SBY

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to receive state visits from two former Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and Joko Widodo (Jokowi), at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Saturday afternoon (21/3/2026). This high-level meeting is a continuation of President Prabowo’s series of political engagements with previous leaders following his meeting with Megawati Soekarnoputri. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that, based on the latest information, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) are planned to attend the meeting. “We just received information regarding the attendance of President SBY and President Jokowi, but the exact time will be confirmed later. Insyaallah,” Prasetyo said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Saturday. However, Prasetyo could not yet confirm the attendance of the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri in today’s agenda. Previously, Prabowo had held a courtesy meeting with Megawati at Merdeka Palace a few days ago, which lasted around two hours. In that meeting, the two discussed various strategic issues and exchanged views. Prasetyo explained that the discussion between Prabowo and Megawati covered leadership experiences as well as challenges in each different era of government. In addition, geopolitical issues were also part of the discussion. “We all know that every era, every period, has different challenges. But as a leader, it is certainly very good to be able to provide input to each other and share experiences for the progress of our nation and country,” he said.
