Palace of fairy tales

JAKARTA (JP): Some 40 orphans from the Tangerang-based Islamic
Village visited the Istana Cerita (Palace of Fairy Tales) at the
Ciputra Mall over the weekend.

The orphans who were invited by the Mall management watched
an Ali Baba operetta. The operetta, one of the 1001 night fairy
tales, was performed by children ballet club Sanggar Pelangi.

"After they watch the operetta we will have a breaking of the
fast with our brothers and sisters from the orphanage," Wina
Andriyani of Ciputra Mall told The Jakarta Post.

A good crowd of people surrounded the Palace playground,
decorated in the Middle Eastern style to suggest 1001-night
nuance of the Mediterranean culture.

The Mall's Palace of Fairy Tales offers various children
program from time to time. The current Mediterranean program will
last through March 10.

The orphans were also given clothes and money collected from
the donation box, donation pool for used usable goods located
throughout the mall. (14)
