Jakarta — The State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi revealed that a circular has been prepared regarding the organisation of open house and halal bihalal Eid celebrations. He reminded all ministries and agencies to avoid excessive arrangements.

“We have already distributed a circular to all ministries and agencies urging them not to be excessive in organising open houses and halal bihalal events,” said Prasetyo Hadi at the Defence Ministry on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

“Because many of our fellow citizens are still facing difficult circumstances,” he added.

At the same occasion, Prasetyo was unable to confirm whether the palace would hold an open house attended by President Prabowo.

“Not yet, no decision has been made,” Prasetyo said.

Previously, President Prabowo warned officials not to hold extravagant open houses during Eid 2026. This was conveyed during a Full Cabinet Session on Friday, 13 March 2026.

“I believe we should set an example with our open house—not too extravagant—given our brothers and sisters in the regions facing disasters and the current situation, we must set an example for the people. But we also should not completely shut down events as the economy needs to continue. So small businesses, catering services, and our economy must keep running,” said Prabowo.
