Jakarta – State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi has expressed condolences over the deaths of three TNI soldiers serving as contingent members in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

“Regarding the news of the fall of three of our TNI soldiers who were carrying out duties as members of the peacekeeping force in Lebanon, on behalf of the President, we the government certainly convey our deepest condolences,” Prasetyo told reporters on Tuesday, 31 March 2026.

Prasetyo stated that the government, through the Minister of Foreign Affairs, has conveyed its stance and requested relevant authorities to investigate the deaths of the three TNI soldiers.

“We, as State Secretary Minister, have also coordinated with the Minister of Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the TNI Commander, in carrying out the best efforts for the repatriation of the bodies of the three fallen soldiers,” he said.

“At the same time, providing briefings to all troops and soldiers still on duty in the field to increase vigilance,” Prasetyo added.

Previously reported, the Ministry of Defence (Kemhan) confirmed the death of one TNI personnel who was part of the UNIFIL peacekeeping force in Lebanon, along with three others injured, due to an artillery attack from Israel on Sunday, 29 March 2026.

“There are casualties from TNI soldiers, namely one person deceased, one in serious condition, and two with minor injuries who are currently receiving medical treatment,” said the Head of the Defence Information Bureau (Karo Infohan) of the Kemhan General Secretariat, Brigadier General TNI Rico Ricardo Sirait, when confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta on Monday.

The TNI soldier who fell in the incident was Corporal Farizal Rhomadhon.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian National Army (TNI) again reported that two TNI soldiers fell and two others were injured in an incident that occurred in the assignment area of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon on Monday, 30 March 2026.

The Head of the TNI Headquarters Information Centre (Kapuspen), Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, revealed the identities of the two fallen TNI soldiers: Captain Inf Zulmi Aditya Iskandar and Sergeant Major Muhammad Nur Ichwan.

The two other soldiers who were injured are Lieutenant Inf Sulthan Wirdean Maulana and Corporal Deni Rianto.
